Encroachment removal operation continues in Peshawar cantonment

Peshawar Cantonment Board has launched an intensive anti-encroachment operation in Saddar Bazaar to restore order and improve traffic flow in the area.
The operation aims to address the growing issue of illegal encroachments and obstructions on roads in various parts of the Cantonment, including Liaqat Bazaar, Chowk Fawara, Tipu Sultan Road, S.M. Road, Arbab Road, and Shuba Bazaar.
This comprehensive initiative particularly targets Saddar Bazaar, which has long been plagued by traffic congestion, public safety hazards, and disruption to the local business environment due to unauthorized vendors and encroachments.
Speaking to the media, Enforcement Officer Raja Yasir Janjua stated that the operation is focused on removing illegal stalls and pushcarts in order to restore smooth traffic flow.
He added that a significant quantity of goods has been confiscated from these illegal vendors, and heavy fines have been imposed.
The operation is not limited to Saddar Road but also covers key areas of the market such as Liaqat Bazaar, Chowk Fawara,
Tipu Sultan Road, S.M. Road, Arbab Road, and Shuba Bazaar—all of which have experienced traffic disruptions and safety concerns due to encroachments. These areas are expected
