Ready for Imran Khan’s call for protests: Ali Amin Gandapur

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Tuesday announced that preparations have been completed for a protest call from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, expected in November.
Speaking to the media, Gandapur stated, “The final call for protest will come from Imran Khan. I have conveyed his message to the public, and as soon as he gives the green light, we will take to the streets.”
CM-KP Gandapur condemned the recent arrests of PTI leaders, calling it a recurring tactic by the government and “strongly condemning” what he described as “dirty tactics” used against the party.
In a separate development, Chief Minister Gandapur announced a principled decision to expand the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Card scheme, enhancing free healthcare access across the province.
He directed the inclusion of additional public and private hospitals that meet the program’s standards.
Gandapur stressed that strict criteria should be applied when adding hospitals, focusing on proximity to the population to ensure at least one facility at the tehsil level.
The Chief Minister chaired a meeting with Health Department officials, including Health Advisor Ihtisham Ali, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Ikramullah Khan, Health Secretary Syed Adeel Shah, and senior officials from the Health Foundation and Health Card Plus.
The forum discussed adding new hospitals to the scheme and outsourcing medical services in remote areas as part of broader health sector reforms.
