New case of Toshakhana
ISLAMABAD
PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have challenged in Islamabad High Court (IHC) their arrest in new case of Tosha Khana.
PTI founder and Bushra Bibi have filed petition in IHC Thursday seeking court’s orders for declaring their arrest illegal besides releasing them.
The petition said PTI founder and Bushra Bibi were arrested in other fake case without any justification after their acquittal in Nikah during iddat case for the sake of political victimization. The political opponents, federal and Punjab governments want to keep Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi under detention for long period. Both were arrested during the period when their petitions against their call up notices were pending hearing in IHC.
Arresting both of them when their petition was pending hearing is based on ill intent. Political opponents are using NAB for persistent political victimization. The superior courts have stressed in their decisions that arrest cannot be made merely on registration of case.
The arrest of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in any case in future be linked to permission from IHC.
The petitioners have requested the court to declare their arrest illegal besides releasing them.
