Provincial Government Urged to Promote Archery

PESHAWAR
Nawab Ali, an archery coach from Peshawar, has emphasized the need for effective measures by the provincial government to promote archery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He stressed that the government should support Haji Fawad Khan, the President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archery Association, and Sarfraz Khan, the Secretary, to help nurture talent at the grassroots level.
Nawab Ali stated that promoting sports like archery would not only encourage healthy activities among the youth but also improve the province’s representation in the sport. He appealed to the government to provide more resources for archery so that the sport can develop further.
He mentioned that for several years, they have been training players at the Archery Academy in Hayatabad Sports Complex. By the grace of God, the academy currently hosts a large number of male and female players, including children, who are receiving basic archery training.
Coach Nawab Ali added that Secretary Sarfraz Khan has provided archery equipment to various district associations in the province, where players continue their practice.
