Safe City Project to be fully operational by May
RAWALPINDI: The Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfraz Alpa visited Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). President RCCI and Chairman Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) Saqib Rafiq along with Group Leader RCCI Sohail Altaf welcomed the RPO and discussed the issues related to the business community of Rawalpindi. President also congratulated the RPO on taking charge.
The RPO assured that his office is available at all times. The Safe City project will be fully operational by the end of May, which will help in curbing car and motorcycle snatching, street crime and robbery. The establishment of law and order in the city is the top priority of his office as law and order is very important in the promotion of business activities and investment.
He said that collective and joint efforts are required to maintain the law and order issues and also appreciated the recommendations for addressing encroachment and traffic congestion in the city.
A joint meeting will be held after eid in this regard, he added. RPO welcomed the Police Trader Liaison Committee at police stations and said that it will help in resolving disputes.
RPO also lauded Chairman RWMC and President RCCI for the efforts being carried out for the clean Rawalpindi.President Saqib Rafiq in his remarks said that Rawalpindi city has become densely populated due to growth and migration, we need additional police force and police stations.
Senior Vice President RCCI Mr. Muhammad Hamza Sarosh, distinguished RCCI members, President Markazi Anjuman Tajran Rawalpindi Mr. Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, President Rawalpindi Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries/VP FPCCI Mr. Tariq Jadoon, among others were also present in the meeting.
