PM decides to make direct contact with IMF

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has decided to make direct contact with IMF in view of prevailing economic situation of the country.
In this regard the finance ministry authorities have been directed to work-out a large and long term reforms package.
Talks are underway between Pakistan and IMF in connection with circular debt in energy sector.
According to sources IMF has grave concerns over 1250 billion circular debt project.
IMF sources have said the project for retiring circular debt is not correct. As per previous plan, 1000 billions were to be provided to petroleum and 250 billions to energy sector. How such project can be accepted as correct which shifts more financial burden to people.
IMF said such plan of retirement of circular debt be evolved due to which more financial burden is not shifted to people.
