16 break laws arrested; drugs, weapons recovered
Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Monday arrested 16 break laws involved in various illegal activities, including drug trafficking and possession of illegal weapons, recovering significant quantities of narcotics and firearms from their possession.
A police spokesperson told APP that the ICT Police Golra, Sabzi Mandi, Koral, Humak, Bhara Kahu and Khanna police teams took legal action against accused involved in possessing illegal weapons, and drug peddling activities.
He said the police team also arrested 12 accused namely Muhammad Sadique, Ehtisham, Haris, Zeeshan, Kashif, Asif, Zohaib, Inayat, Taimur, Adnan, Farman and Noman and recovered 1622 grams heroin, 30 liters liquor and 05 pistols from their possession.
Moreover, 04 absconders were also arrested from various areas of the city during the last 24 hours. SSP Operation Muhammad Arslan Shahzaib said that the ICT Police is actively working to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property in the federal capital, emphasizing that no elements will be allowed to disrupt citizens’ peace. Protecting the lives, property, and dignity of citizens is the Islamabad Police’s top priority.
