Various Competitions Continue

Various competitions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games continued on second day. On Friday, the handball matches commenced at Peshawar Sports Complex, inaugurated by the President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Handball Association and Director Sports University of Peshawar, Bahar Karam. He was accompanied by Dr. Noor Zada, and secretary Provincial Throwball Association Arshad Hussain. On the opening day Peshawar defeated Dera Ismail Khan by 14-8, Swat overcame Bannu with 10-8, and Kohat secured a 12-5 victory against Hazara to qualify for the next round.
Similarly, the throwball event has entered the semifinal stage. Mardan defeated Hazara by 2-1, Swat triumphed over Dera Ismail Khan with 2-0, and Bannu overcame Kohat with 2-0 to secure their spots in the semifinals. In men’s basketball, Bannu advanced to the final after defeating Kohat by 57-52.
Peshawar won men’s hockey event by defeating Bannu with 2-1 goals. In the first semifinal, Peshawar dominated Dera Ismail Khan with a 7-1 victory, while Bannu secured a spot in the final by defeating Hazara 4-0 in the second semifinal.
Meanwhile, in the women’s hockey competition, Peshawar and Mardan earned the honor of playing in the final. In the first semifinal, Mardan defeated Hazara by 4-0, with Suvera scoring three goals and Zarnish adding one. In the second semifinal, Peshawar comfortably beat Kohat by 5-0, with Amna scoring two goals, while Mehak and Maliha contributed one goal each.
