Traffic police honours officials for outstanding performance

A prize distribution ceremony was held at the Traffic Headquarters Gulbahar, organized by the City Traffic Police Peshawar. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Haroon Rashid Khan, along with senior officers and traffic officials, attended the event.
CTO Haroon Rashid Khan distributed certificates of appreciation and cash prizes among the officers and officials in recognition of their commendable performance. Speaking at the occasion, he lauded the dedication of the traffic staff and urged them to continue discharging their duties with professionalism and courtesy.
He emphasized the importance of the “ greet first, then speak” policy and urged officers to ensure strict implementation of traffic laws using all available resources. CTO Haroon Rashid Khan reiterated that officers must remain fully committed to maintaining smooth traffic flow and raising awareness among the public regarding road safety.
He affirmed that the policy of reward and accountability will continue within the department—those performing well will be encouraged, while disciplinary action will be taken against negligent staff.
The CTO also directed officials to maintain an ongoing crackdown against illegal parking in no-parking zones and the encroachment mafia across the city. He instructed that no leniency should be shown in such matters, warning that negligence would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
