Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expresses solidarity with the families of martyrs targeted by terrorism

On the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that this day reminds the sacrifices rendered by all innocent civilians and brave security personnel who lost their lives as a result of cowardly acts of terrorism.
He paid high tribute to the security agencies, law enforcement officers, and martyrs who have been fighting terrorism on the front lines. The Speaker said the pain and suffering of families affected by terrorism are unforgettable.
Pakistan has been combating the menace of terrorism for over two decades, during which more than 80,000 civilians, military personnel, and law enforcement officers have sacrificed their lives.
Many political and religious leaders have also fallen victim to terrorism. The war against terrorism has also caused billions of dollars in damage to the national economy.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that India-backed terrorists are involved in malicious conspiracies to sabotage peace and development in Pakistan. However, the Pakistani nation has always confronted terrorism with courage, resilience, and unity.
He added that our security forces and law enforcement agencies continue to make unparalleled sacrifices against terrorists. Through the National Action Plan, counter-terrorism narratives, and social and economic initiatives, extremist and terrorist networks have been weakened.
He further said that the sacrifices of the martyrs targeted by terrorism will always remain alive in the nation’s history.
Expressing heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the families of the victims, he reiterated the commitment that the fight will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah also expressed his strong tribute to the civilians and security personnel martyred in terrorist attacks. He said the sacrifices of the martyrs are a bright chapter in our national history, and the entire nation shares the grief of the families affected by terrorism. The Deputy Speaker also said that the people and institutions of Pakistan have shown unmatched resilience and sacrifice against terrorism. This struggle is proof of the nation’s readiness to pay any price for the peace and stability of the homeland. He reaffirmed the resolve to continue this struggle with full determination until the complete elimination of terrorism and the establishment of lasting peace.
