Rubina visits payment camp in Peshawar

The chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid visited the Azam Park Sheikhabad payment camp site in Peshawar on Wednesday to review service delivery and ensure smooth disbursement of assistance to registered women beneficiaries.
During her visit, Senator Khalid expressed satisfaction over the respectful treatment of elderly women by the BISP staff and stressed that such dignity should be extended to all beneficiaries.
She emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness at payment centers and ensuring the availability of clean drinking water for visitors.
Clarifying common misconceptions, Senator Rubina Khalid stated that BISP does not require any survey form or fee, and any such claims were baseless.
She added that a household can only be re-surveyed after two years of the initial registration and urged women to register their active mobile numbers during the survey process and refrain from changing them, as it may affect communication from the program.
The BISP chairperson advised beneficiaries to count their assistance carefully, receive it in full, and always obtain a receipt from the bank representative at the camp.
“Any deduction from the BISP assistance amount is strictly illegal,” she said, warning that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in such practices.
Senator Khalid encouraged beneficiaries to immediately report any deductions by calling the BISP helpline at 0800-26477 or by visiting the nearest BISP office.
She reaffirmed BISP’s commitment to transparency, integrity, and the welfare of underprivileged women across the country.
