PPP levels corruption charges against KP govt

PESHAWAR: Amjad Khan Afridi, Information Secretary of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has leveled serious corruption allegations against the provincial government. Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club (PPP), Afridi claimed that the government’s own secretary was involved in alleged corrupt activities. Afridi questioned how the minister could be unaware of his secretary’s actions, citing previous instances of corruption. He also alleged that government vehicles were being misused and that seized vehicles were being given to MPs as bribes. The PPP Information Secretary further claimed that a case had been filed in the Peshawar High Court against the sale of land and that the government’s focus on education was mere rhetoric, pointing to the poor condition of schools, colleges, and universities. Afridi called for the chief minister’s resignation, stating that the PPP would not allow land to be sold as long as they were in power. He also referenced recent incidents of judges being attacked and banks being robbed, suggesting that the government was unable to maintain law and order. Staff Reporter
