Police raided Shesha house, 17 held in Peshawar

Acting on a public complaint, police raided a shisha house on Dalla Zak Road within the jurisdiction of Faqirabad Police Station, arresting 17 individuals involved in gambling and the use of intoxicants.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of DSP Faqirabad Circle Omar Afridi, following directives from SP Faqirabad Division Muhammad Arshad Khan. SHO Faqirabad Police Station Akif Anjum led the raid alongside a police team.
During the operation, police took into custody the individuals who were allegedly engaged in gambling and smoking hookah. The arrested suspects include Waqas, Humayun, Bilal, Salman, Abdul Al-Samad, Farhan, Daniyal, Yasir, Moaz, Asad, Tauqeer, Mansoor, Afzal, Ishaq, Jibran, and Abdul Wahab.
Police recovered several hookahs, flavored tobacco, gambling tools, and thousands of rupees in gambling money from the premises. A case has been registered against all the individuals, and further investigation is underway.
SP Arshad Khan stated that strict action will continue against activities involving narcotics, gambling, and other illegal practices to ensure peace and public safety.
