Pakistan capable of defending itself, says army chief

Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to defend itself, emphasising that the country’s resilience and strength are deeply rooted in its history and sacrifices.
In his address during the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) passing out parade, he highlighted that the two-nation theory, which asserts the distinction between Muslims and Hindus, remains central to Pakistan’s identity and existence.
General Munir pointed out that Pakistan’s forefathers made immense sacrifices for the creation of the country, driven by the belief in a separate Muslim identity.
He rejected any attempt by Indian media and social platforms to distort history or alter the foundation of Pakistan’s creation.
General Munir also assured that Pakistan’s people stand united in defending their homeland. The commitment to protecting the country is unwavering, and Pakistan remains capable of facing any external threats.
