One and half year have passed since arrest of Imran, question of his physical remand stands ruled out now: SC

Justice Hashim Kakar has remarked one and half year has passed since the arrest of Imran Khan and question of physical remand stands ruled out now.
He further remarked if Punjab government desires so then it can resort to trial court.
Supreme Court (SC) wrapped up appeals filed by Punjab government in connection with physical remand of PTI founder.
Appeals filed by Punjab government seeking physical remand of Imran Khan came up for hearing in S Wednesday.
SC has maintained if Punjab government wants, it can resort to trial court. The lawyers of Imran Khan reserve the right to contest if any such application is filed.

Prosecutor General Punjab took the plea photogrammetric, polygraph and voice matching tests of the accused have to be got conducted.
Justice Hashim Kakar remarked request was made in the petition for physical remand and not for tests.
Justice Salahuddin Panhwar remarked such tests have never been got conducted in any murder or rape case . It is hoped government will show such efficiency in the cases of common man.
