On Pakistan police martyrs’ day, special ceremony held at NHMP headquarters

On the occasion of Pakistan Police Martyrs’ Day, a special ceremony was held at the Motorway Police Headquarters, Islamabad. Senior officers, staff members, and families of the martyrs attended the ceremony.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Inspector General, NHMP, B.A. Nasir. During the ceremony, tributes were paid to the martyrs of the Motorway Police, other law enforcement agencies and the armed forces. Before the ceremony began, IG, B.A. Nasir laid floral wreaths at the Martyrs’ Memorial and offered a special prayer for the elevation of their ranks in the hereafter.
While addressing the participants, IG, BA Nasir said that we deeply pay tribute from our hearts to those brave sons who laid down their lives in the line of duty. This day reminds us of the courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment of our valiant police officers who sacrificed their lives to uphold peace, law, and justice in our beloved country.
A total of 51 officers and personnel of the Motorway Police, including a female officer embraced martyrdom in the line of duty, ranking from the rank of Constable to Inspector. Meanwhile among the thousands of martyrs from police forces across Pakistan are officer from the rank of Constable up to Inspector General of Police.
Every police martyr is a shining star in our national history. We have not forgotten our martyrs, nor will we ever forget them. Behind every martyr, there is a story of duty fulfilled, promise kept, and protection of the nation.
Being part of the police force is not just a profession; it is a pledge to protect the lives and property of the people. The path we walk is not an easy one; it demands courage in times of danger, patience in times of adversity, and unwavering commitment to justice at all times.
Today, we also salute the families of our martyrs. Your sacrifices are eternal. You are the pride of this nation, and we owe you a debt that can never be repaid.
On this occasion, we must also remember that we are to carry forward the legacy of our martyrs by serving the public with professionalism and honesty.
He further said as Inspector General of Police NHMP, I assure you that the department will never abandon the families of our martyrs who made eternal sacrifices. May Allah grant our martyrs the highest rank in Jannat-ul-Firdous, grant patience to their families, and grant us the ability to fulfill our responsibilities with sincerity.”
During the ceremony, the widow of a Motorway Police martyr Mansoor Asghar and the son Muhammad Ehsan also shared their thoughts. At the end of the ceremony, IG B.A. Nasir distributed souvenirs among the families of the martyrs.
