Malakand’s athlete Salma Ali delivered an outstanding performance in the women’s athletics competitions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Games, winning three medals and bringing pride to the Malakand region. She secured bronze medals in the 400-meter race, shot put, and javelin throw.
The women’s athletics competitions were held at Board Ground, where Peshawar dominated with five gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, securing first place with 58 points.
Malakand region, participating in athletics for the first time, claimed second place with 44 points, winning two gold, three silver, and three bronze medals. Speaking to the media, Salma Ali credited her success to her coach, Abid Nazim Afridi, for his dedication and hard work.
She expressed her desire to represent her province and country at the international level and is determined to continue training rigorously to achieve this goal.
