IHC seeks reply from govt for not removing name of Zartaj Gul from ECL
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought reply from government for not removing name of PTI leader Zartaj Gul from Exit Control List (ECL) besides adjourning the hearing of the case. Contempt of court case for not removing name of Zartaj Gul from ECL despite court’s orders came up for hearing in IHC Wednesday. The state counsel told the court FIR is lodged against Zartaj Gul in Dera Ghazi Khan, Counsel for Zartaj Gul said bail in this case has been confirmed . We have filed miscellaneous application about confirmation of the bail in this FIR. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri remarked bail in this case has been confirmed on September 5. The state counsel told the court “ I seek directives from government in this regard. Zartaj Gul said they don’t give me passport then how will I travel. 4 secret cases have been registered against me. I am elected member of assembly. It is my right to go anywhere as per my will. They register secret FIR and then place the name in ECL. The court sought reply from the government for not removing name of Zartaj Gul from ECL.
