IHC restores two days in a week visitors meetings with Imran Khan in jail

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restored two days meeting of visitors with Imran Khan on Tuesday and Thursday in a week remarking whosoever meets Imran Khan will not hold media talk.
The petitions regarding meetings of visitors with Imran Khan in Adiala jail came up for hearing before larger bench of iHC comprising ACJ Sarfraz Dogar, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Muhammad Azam Monday.
ACJ Sarfraz Dogar remarked “ every person comes with application that his meeting with Imran Khan be arranged. What is need of media talk after meeting. They should go after holding meeting. We obtain undertaking from them that they should not hold media talk after meeting in jail.
The counsel for jail superintendent said they use jail meetings for political purpose.
The court also ordered that whosoever meets with Imran Khan will not hold media talk. Only those will meet Imran Khan whose name are given by Suleman Akram Raja coordinator of Imran Khan.
Acting Chief Justice (ACJ) IHC Sarfraz Dogar directed application be given to trial court in connection with conversation of his children with Imran Khan.
Counsel for jail superintendent Adiala jail told the court meetings in jail were being arranged till December under this SOPs.
The status changed after January. There were security threats too.
The counsel said meetings of PTI founder are being arranged on Tuesday as per jail manual. The status of founder of PTI changed from under trial prisoner to convicted prisoner after January.
