Historic Achievement in Archery

Pakistan’s national archers Sanober Ameen and Areeb Hussain have made history by securing the country’s first-ever medals at an Asian-level archery event. Competing in the WAA Asian Challenge Archery Championship in Incheon, South Korea, the duo won a silver and a bronze medal in the team events, marking a breakthrough moment for the sport in Pakistan.
Under the guidance of Pakistan’s only World Archery Level-4 coach and Secretary General of the Sindh Archery Association, Syed Ejaz Ali, the national squad achieved this milestone for the first time in the country’s archery history.
National junior gold medalist Sanober Ameen clinched the silver medal in the women’s team event, while Areeb Hussain Siddiqui secured the bronze medal in the men’s team event. The championship featured over 80 archers from 17 Asian countries.
The event was held under the banner of World Archery Asia Joint Training, alongside a collaborative Asian-level training camp in which the Pakistani archers also participated.
Pakistan Archery Federation President Col. (R) Sadaf Ikram, Secretary General Zulfiqar Butt, Sindh Archery Association President Madam Sana Ali, Chairman Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh, Treasurer Mah Jabeen, Head of the Technical Committee Dr. Zia-ul-Islam, and others congratulated Coach Ejaz Ali, Sanober Ameen, and Areeb Hussain for their outstanding performance.
