CM Gandapur vows to safeguard lives, property

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has addressed the ongoing emergency in the province following severe floods, particularly in the Malakand and Hazara regions, caused by heavy rains and cloudbursts. The floods have resulted in significant loss of life and property.
The Chief Minister stated that two provincial government helicopters were engaged in rescue operations when one tragically crashed due to bad weather, resulting in the martyrdom of five crew members.
He emphasized that the district administration and all relevant provincial departments are fully engaged in rescue and relief efforts. “We are taking all possible measures to protect the lives and property of the people,” Gandapur said.
The situation is being closely monitored from the Chief Minister’s House control room, and administrations across affected and neighboring districts have been placed on high alert. Heavy machinery has been deployed to assist in rescue operations and to clear blocked roads. Measures are also underway to repair damaged property.
The Chief Minister assured that the provincial government stands with the people in this hour of difficulty and will fully restore damages caused by the natural disaster. He urged the public to take precautionary measures and cooperate with authorities, while elected representatives continue to coordinate on-ground relief efforts.
