The Peshawar Badminton Cup has been concluded

The Peshawar Badminton Cup organized by Regional Sports Office Peshawar and district administration has been concluded here at Peshawar Sports Complex
Peshawar. Smash Badminton Club won the trophy by defeating Khalil Badminton Club Regi in the final. Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Salim Akram distributed prizes to the winning players along with National Badminton Champion Murad Ali, Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan, Secretary Badminton Association Amjad Khan, Directorate Sports coaches Nadeem Khan, Hayat Khan and Bushra Khan were also present on this occasion.
Eight women’s and 12 men’s teams participated in the tournament. In the female competition Peshawar White won the title by defeating Peshawar Red. At the end, the chief guest distributed the prizes among the winning players.
Addressing the players, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar said that sports play a fundamental role in the development of any nation.
He said that it is very important to promote sports to make the young generation healthy and active. The Deputy Commissioner Peshawar further said that such sports competitions would give the youth an opportunity to learn qualities like hard work, discipline and team work. are, which lay the foundation for success not only in sports but also in other fields of life.
He said that the district administration will take more steps to promote sports in the future so that the youth can get more opportunities to highlight their talents.
Deputy Commissioner Peshawar paid tribute to Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan for his services in the promotion of sports.
