Imran Khan’s family protest may secure his release: Fawad Ch.
ISLAMABAD
Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry stated that Imran Khan’s family has to lead the protest to secure the release of the PTI founder.
Speaking to a private TV channel program, Chaudhry expressed concern over the lack of revolutionary leadership within PTI, noting that recent strategic decisions were poorly handled.
Chaudhry acknowledged certain mistakes made by the party, emphasising that PTI’s founder had no intent to undermine the party’s image.
Reflecting on PTI’s Afghan policy stance, he stated that Imran Khan and Fazlur Rehman share similar positions on the matter.
Taking aim at Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Chaudhry alleged that Asif “never speaks the truth” and that PTI’s failure to build alliances with other parties.
He further added that Bushra Bibi and Aleema Khan should come forward to clarify matters surrounding Imran Khan’s recent actions, stressing that PTI does not support dynastic politics.
Chaudhry also remarked that while current leaders have not encountered the same challenges he and his contemporaries faced. He said that Imran Khan gave them a month’s time to improve the situation. He concluded by noting that Pakistan’s core issues cannot be resolved by Trump but by Pakistanis.
