Govt committed to collaborate with industrialists for sustainable growth: CM

Prominent industrialists call on Chief Minister KP Gandapure

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Thursday said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to support the business community and invited industrialists to collaborate with the government to drive continued development and prosperity in the region.
He emphasized the government’s readiness to serve the business community and highlighted the importance of collective efforts in achieving sustainable growth and development.
CM Ali Amin Gandapur expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of prominent industrialists that called on him, an official handout said.
Besides, provincial minister for social welfare Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Advisor to CM on Finance Muzzamil Aslam, Special Assistant on Industries, Commerce, and Technical Education, Abdul Karim Tordher, Secretary Industries, Commerce and Technical Education, senior management of KP Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC), KP Board of Investment and Trade (KPBOIT) and Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) attended the meeting.
He encouraged industrialists to join hands with the government, fostering a spirit of cooperation and partnership.
The meeting, attended by a large number of business community representatives, provided a platform for a candid exchange of ideas and concerns.
CM-KP Gandpaur said that the completion of the 60MW power project which will be completed in near future will significantly enhance energy availability for industries across the province.
The inauguration of the transmission lines for this project is expected soon, he said.
He also highlighted the appreciation received from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the KP government’s successful fulfillment of all agreements, reflecting the province’s fiscal discipline and commitment to international standards.
“The government is actively working on the revival of trade between Afghanistan and KP, aiming to open new opportunities for cross-border commerce. This initiative will boost the local economy and strengthen regional trade ties,” Gandapur added.
The industrialists appreciated the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the industrial landscape of the province and voiced their confidence in the provincial administration’s proactive approach during the face-to-face engagement and were assured that their concerns would be addressed.
A question-and-answer session was held, during which the business leaders had the opportunity to directly communicate their queries and suggestions to the CM and government high ups.
The event concluded with a luncheon served to the distinguished guests, where further informal discussions took place, strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors.
