Elahi others summoned on July 8 for indictment

Illegal appointments in PA case

LAHORE
Anti Corruption Court (ACC) has summoned former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and other accused on July 8 for indictment in illegal appointments in Punjab Assembly (PA) case. Duty Judge Arshid Ali Bhutta of ACC Lahore heard the case Thursday. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi did not appear in the court. Muhammad Khan Bhatti was presented in the court for signing rolls. The counsels submitted exemption from attendance plea of Pervaiz Elahi during the hearing of the case. Medical certificate of Pervaiz Elahi was also presented in the court.

It was said in the report that doctors had advised Pervaiz Elahi not to travel. The rib fracture of Pervaiz Elahi has not been healed so far. He is also suffering from heart problem.

The court summoned Pervaiz Elahi and other accused on next hearing for indictment.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till July 8.
