Barrister Saif blame centre for slow internet speed, firewall restrictions

PESHAWAR
The spokesperson of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Barrister Saif, has strongly condemned the federal government’s inaction on social media shutdowns and slow internet speeds, which he claimed have devastated the e-commerce and digital sectors.
“The incompetent federal government has pushed Pakistan into the stone age, while other countries are embracing 5G and modern internet services,” Barrister Saif said.
He urged digital and human rights organizations to raise their voices against social media blockages, slow internet speeds and firewall restrictions in the country.
Barrister Saif criticized the federal government’s decision to ban social media platforms, citing its negative impact on the economy and society.
“Digital rights and human rights organizations must speak out against these restrictions and demand a modern, connected Pakistan,” he emphasized.
