Narcotics seized at Torkham border

Custom officials foiled a bid to smuggle Ice drugs at Torkham border and arrested the smugglers, officials said on Monday.
Deputy director custom enforcement Saiqa Abbas told The News that two women were stopped St Torkham border crossing coming from Afghanistan and searched them. She said they recovered six kilograms of Ice drugs from their possessions.She said the worth of the seized narcotics in open market is 70 million rupees. She said the narcotics were concealed in ghee tins to smuggle it from Afghanistan to Pakistan.
Saiqa Abbs said in the last few months they have seized billions of rupees narcotics at Torkham border.
