Irfan aims for National representation

Irfan Muhammad, a promising table tennis player from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is diligently honing his skills in preparation for both national and international competitions.
Speaking to the media at the Peshawar Press Club, Irfan Muhammad, hailing from Swabi district, expressed his lifelong passion for the sport. His journey began in 2007 when he started playing table tennis regularly, initially joining the Zarubi Table Tennis Academy. Despite being in school, he devoted himself to daily practice sessions during vacations, steadily enhancing his game.
His talent soon became evident as he began participating in club and district level tournaments. Over time, he progressed to provincial and national competitions, where he showcased his exceptional skills.
Irfan recounted his achievements, including winning the gold medal in the district table tennis championship, a feat he accomplished for the first time. He highlighted his notable performances in various competitions, such as the DG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa talent hunt championship, where he secured a gold medal. Additionally, he clinched silver and gold medals in the All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter Divisional Table Tennis Championship and the District Independence Celebration Championship, respectively.
Despite not securing a medal in the All Pakistan Open Tennis Championship and the 24th National Table Tennis Championship, Irfan emphasized the invaluable experience gained from competing against the nation’s top players.
Looking ahead, Irfan expressed his unwavering determination to vie for titles in both national and international championships, driven by his relentless hard work and dedication. He acknowledged the support and encouragement of key figures in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Table Tennis Association, including President Ahmed Nawaz Alizai, Senior Vice President Kifayatullah, Secretary Adnan Amir, and Shehzad Islam Yousafzai.
With his sights set on future success, Irfan remains steadfast in his pursuit of excellence, confident that his efforts will eventually yield triumph on the grand stage.
