Rawalpindi
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has pledged the Pakistan Army’s full support to the government, administration, and law enforcement agencies in taking swift and lawful actions against terrorists, anarchists, and criminal mafias.
He made these remarks while presiding over the Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at GHQ in Rawalpindi, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
The forum expressed satisfaction with the ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities in collaboration with terrorist networks and highlighted the critical need to safeguard national cyberspace through stringent cybersecurity measures.
Participants offered Fateha and paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and citizens who have lost their lives in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in the pursuit of peace and stability in Pakistan.
Briefings were provided on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, national security challenges, and strategic and operational responses to emerging threats. The forum discussed the threats posed by inimical forces, subversive proxies, and facilitators of Pakistan’s external and internal adversaries, particularly in Balochistan and K-P, and deliberated on measures to neutralise these threats.
General Munir emphasised that the army remains a disciplined institution committed to professionalism, integrity, and loyalty to the state. The institution’s rigorous system of accountability ensures that no individual is above the law or exempt from scrutiny, fortifying the Army’s integrity.
In a show of solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the forum honoured the martyrs of the freedom movement. The ongoing violence against Palestinians by Israel was condemned in the strongest terms.
The forum reaffirmed confidence in the operational readiness of the Pakistan Army and its commitment to upholding high standards of professional excellence.
