CM-KP’s helicopter ensures medicine supply to Kurram
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has taken urgent steps to address the acute shortage of medicines in conflict-hit Kurram district caused by road closures.
According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur deployed his official helicopter to ensure the emergency delivery of life-saving and essential medicines to the affected tribal district.
On Wednesday, the helicopter transported two consignments of essential medicines worth Rs 6.3 million to Kurram district.
The consignments included critical life-saving drugs to address the pressing healthcare needs of the district’s residents.
The Chief Minister has directed that the helicopter will continue to supply medicines daily until the road connectivity is fully restored.
The statement said that the health advisor and health secretary were personally supervising the operation on the Chief Minister’s special instructions to ensure the uninterrupted availability of essential medicines.
“The availability of critical medicines must be ensured at all times, and the helicopter supply will continue until land routes are reopened,” said Gandapur.
He reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to meet the medical needs of Kurram’s population.
