CM Gandapur takes notice of Bannu protest incident

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has taken notice of the ongoing situation in Bannu and sought a report on the incident.
KP government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif in a video statement issued here on Friday stated that “Chief Minister is personally monitoring the situation.
The Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner are negotiating with protesters, and local elders have been engaged to resolve the issue peacefully.”
He said that a comprehensive financial assistance package has been announced by the provincial government for the victims’ families and injured, ensuring access to the best medical facilities.
The spokesperson assured that a comprehensive investigation will be carried out of the incident and those responsible will be brought to justice.

KP CM condemns attack on police post in Mardan
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has condemned terrorists’ attack on a police post in Tehsil Takhtbhai of Mardan and termed it a sorrowful incident.
In a statement issued here on Friday, the Chief Minister said that the sacrifices of martyrs would not go waste.
Ali Amin Gandapur said that police have fought with bravery and repulsed the attack. He added that the whole nation is standing shoulder to shoulder with the police in the war against terrorism.
He prayed for the eternal peace of the martyr and expressed his heartiest sympathies and condolence with the bereaved families.
The CM asked the concerned police officers to submit a report into the incident.
A policeman embraced martyrdom and two others sustained injures in the early morning attack on the police post, said police.
Separately, CM-KP has also condemned terrorist attack in Wana Bazar South Waziristan wherein explosives were planted in a motorcycle.
The Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased.
The Chief Minister expressed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blast.
