Barrister Saif defends Bushra Bibi’s stay in Peshawar
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif responded to Federal Minister Khawaja Asif’s remarks, criticizing the PML-N’s objection to Bushra Bibi’s presence in Peshawar.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Mr Saif stated that the objections raised by federal minister Khawaja Asif and his party are puzzling.
He furthered that Peshawar is part of Pakistan and the federal government should have no issue with PTI founder chairman wife Bushra Bibi presence and stay in KP.
KP government spokesman questioned why, unlike Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, Bushra Bibi is expected to leave for London, adding that Bushra Bibi has no dealings and is free to stay in Peshawar as she wishes.
Mr Saif noted that Bushra Bibi has faced nine months of prison with resilience and alleged that under Maryam Nawaz’s influence, women in Punjab are being subjected to mistreatment.
He condemned the actions of what he called a “fake government” and warned that Maryam Nawaz will one day be held accountable for undermining women’s dignity.
