SC nullifies death sentence decision orders for releasing 2 convicts after 12 years

ISLAMABAD
Supreme Court (SC) while nullifying the decision of death penalty after 12 years has issued orders for releasing the 2 accused .
These orders were issued by SC bench presided over by Justice Jamal Mandokhail and comprising Justice Hassan Akhtar and Justice Naeem Afghan Wednesday.
The court annulled the decision of trial court, high court.
The court maintained in its written order that it wondered that the subordinate judiciary declared it illicit relations without any evidence.
The court in its order nullified death sentence of convict Muhammad Ijaz alias Billay and life imprisonment of co-convict Nasim Akhtar.
The charges of murdering the husband of the co-accused Nasim Akhtar was proved against convict Muhammad Ijaz in 2010.
According to the case both of the culprits had established illicit relations.
According to the claimant of the case the two culprits were found giving electric shocks to the victim. The claimant caught them red handed. Culprit started firing.
According to case the husband of convict Nasim Akhtar was killed due to firing of convict Muhammad Ijaz.
According to defence counsel the case of suicide was declared murder case.
According to defence counsel the illicit relations between the two convicts don’t stand proved.
The claimant did not give share of family inheritance to the victim. Upon it the victim committed suicide.
The order said incident took place in broad day light. But no one supported the story of the claimant of case.
According to record the wife of the convict pressurized her husband for taking share from his family inheritance. The convict Nasim Akhtar had four children. Their father remained no more in the world. Mother was also separated from her children through legal system. Muhammad Ijaz alias Billa and Nasim Akhtar are acquitted from case.
