Justice Naeem takes oath as judge of SC

ISLAMABAD
Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan has taken oath as judge of Supreme Court (SC). Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has administered oath to Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan. The oath taking ceremony took place in SC. SC judges, senior lawyers and court’s staff attended the oath taking ceremony. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan has served as chief justice of Balochistan High Court.
National Judicial Council (NJC) had recommended to make him judge of SC. With the elevation of Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan , the number of judges of SC has reached 14.
The posts of 3 judges are lying vacant in SC still.
