Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Istanbul on Friday on a bilateral visit to T\u00fcrkiye at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with discussions set to focus on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment and regional security.
\nUpon his arrival at Atat\u00fcrk Airport, the prime minister was received by T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s Minister of Trade, Professor Dr. \u00d6mer Bolat, Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to T\u00fcrkiye Dr. Yousaf Junaid, and senior officials from the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the Pakistani Embassy, a Prime Minister\u2019s Office news release said.
\nDeputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are accompanying the prime minister during the visit.
\nDuring his stay in Istanbul, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold comprehensive talks with President Erdogan covering the full spectrum of Pakistan-T\u00fcrkiye bilateral relations. The two leaders are expected to place particular emphasis on expanding cooperation in trade and investment while exploring new avenues for economic collaboration.
\nThe meeting will also include an exchange of views on regional peace and security, reflecting the close strategic partnership between the two countries.
