\nGovernment has introduced fix tax scheme for small shop keepers.
\nAddressing a joint press conference here finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and state minister for finance Bilal Azhar Kiyani have said government is taking steps for bringing expansion in tax system.
\nFocus is being placed on curtailing tax ratio instead of enhancing it so that the burden on tax payers could be minimized.
\nFinance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said national economy remained stable despite last year flood and tense situation in Middle East and government faced different challenges out of its own resources. No need arose for foreign assistance.
\nState minister for finance Bilal Azhar Kiyani said government has introduced fix tax scheme for small shop keepers which has been worked out with the consultation of traders and Anjuman Tajran. This scheme will be applicable to those shop keepers whose annual turn over is Rs 20 crore or less. While shop keepers can stay in this system on their own will.
\nSpecial identity plate will be issued by FBR to the shop keepers who are included in this scheme. Name of shop and information about NTN and tax will be recorded on it. FBR inspector will verify through QR code available on plate and no inspector will be allowed to enter into shop without scanning QR code.
\nThe shop keepers will stand exempted from general audit while consultation will be made with traders organizations before special audit.
\nThere are 30 to 40 lac small shop keepers in the country and integrating them into tax net will prove a significant milestone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
