\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, on Sunday formally inaugurated the newly constructed Shah Jee Terminal in Kohat, describing it as a major step toward improving public transport services and connectivity in the region.
\nSpeaking at the inaugural ceremony, attended by local elders, transport stakeholders, business representatives and residents, the Minister said the terminal would provide modern and quality travel facilities to the public. He noted that the project reflects the provincial government\u2019s commitment to public welfare and infrastructure development.
\nShafi Jan said the new terminal offers improved waiting areas, a more organized transport system and a safer travel environment for passengers. He added that the facility would help ease transportation-related challenges faced by the residents and enhance the overall commuting experience.
\nThe Minister emphasized that modern transport infrastructure not only improves the quality of life for citizens but also supports local trade and economic activity. He reiterated the provincial government\u2019s resolve to expand development initiatives and provide better public services across the province.
\nAccording to Shafi Jan, Shah Jee Terminal is expected to strengthen transport links between Kohat and surrounding areas, facilitating smoother movement of people and goods.
\nFollowing the ceremony, the Minister toured various sections of the terminal and reviewed operational arrangements.
