\nMinister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has reiterated that Pakistan wants peace, but if war is imposed, it would be met with intense and decisive response.
\nHe was speaking at a ceremony regarding the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, organized by the Press Association of Supreme Court in Islamabad .
\nAttaullah Tarar said the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces during Marka-e-Haq.
\nHe said the success is achieved through national unity and cohesion.
\nThe Information Minister said Pakistan achieved distinction and victory on the narrative, diplomatic and military fronts by the grace of Allah Almighty.
\nHe further said that Pakistan Air Force and the country\u2019s air defence system proved their prowess at the global level, with downing of Rafale aircraft.
\nHe said the defeat shattered India\u2019s arrogance and earned international recognition and praise for Pakistan.
\nAttaullah Tarar said Pakistan\u2019s armed forces delivered such an effective response that the enemy was forced to retreat within hours.
\nHe said after Pakistan\u2019s strong response, India sought a ceasefire and Pakistan agreed to it despite having an upper hand in the conflict as Pakistan wanted peace and dialogue.
\nHe said the whole world now views Pakistan as a symbol of peace.
\nThe Minister said the victory also created a sense of pride among overseas Pakistanis who proudly displayed their Pakistani passports.
\nHe also praised journalists and media organizations for their responsible and historic role during Marka-e-Haq, saying Pakistani media earned global appreciation as a matured and responsible media contrary to Indian media, which made baseless claims during the war.
\nAttaullah Tarar said the entire nation, including youth, social media users, journalists, lawyers, engineers and doctors, played a proactive role on the narrative front. He particularly appreciated the role of the young generation in using memes and social media to counter hostile propaganda.
\nAttaullah Tarar attributed the success to the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the courageous leadership and military strategy of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
\nHe also praised the leadership of Air Chief, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Navel Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf for the professional preparedness and performance of the armed forces.
\nHe termed the ceremony marking the victory of Marka-e-Haq a positive tradition and said the success symbolized national pride, unity and solidarity.
