Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Friday paid rich tribute to labourers across the country and the world, terming them the backbone of national development and prosperity.<\/p>\n
In his message on the occasion of International Workers\u2019 Day, the minister said the tireless hard work and dedication of laborers, from the fields to construction sites, are the guarantors of a strong and prosperous Pakistan.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that labour were holding a sacred and noble status, adding that ensuring timely and fair wages for workers was a fundamental responsibility in light of Islamic teachings.
\nAbdul Aleem Khan further stated that the Government prioritized the dignity, safety and provision of fair wages for workers. He reaffirmed the commitment to continue taking every possible measure to protect the rights and well-being of the labor force.
\nSpecifically praising those associated with the communications and infrastructure sectors, Abdul Aleem Khan noted that these teams play a key role in laying the foundations of a modern Pakistan. He paid a special tribute to the workers employed on Highways and other vital projects.
