The Chief Minister Punjab Twin City Women\u2019s Baseball Series will get underway on May 18 in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, featuring a five-match contest between the women\u2019s teams of the twin cities.
\nAccording to Secretary General of the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB), Tahir Mahmood, the series is being organized by the Youth Education and Sports (YES) Welfare Society Rawalpindi in collaboration with the Islamabad Baseball Association.
\nHe termed the initiative a significant step forward in promoting and strengthening women\u2019s baseball in the country.
\nHe said dedicated training camps would be set up for both Rawalpindi and Islamabad teams to ensure quality competition. The camps will also serve as selection trials for the Islamabad squad for the upcoming Women\u2019s National Baseball Championship, as well as for the YES team preparing for an international tour of Malaysia.
\nTahir Mahmood added that the Pakistan Federation Baseball would closely supervise the entire process to maintain transparency and merit.
\nIn this regard, a joint meeting between officials of the federation and YES Welfare Society will be held on Thursday at the Shahbaz Sharif Sports Complex, Rawalpindi, where technical and administrative committees for the series will be constituted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
