Pakistan exported goods worth Rs 6,392,995 million during the first three quarters (July\u2013March) of the current fiscal year (2025\u201326), Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported.
\nThe exports in rupee term witnessed declined by 7.14 percent compared to the same period of last year, when they stood at Rs 6,884,208 million, according to provisional figures released by the bureau.
\nOn year-on-year basis, the exports from Pakistan during March, 2026 amounted to Rs.635,497 million as against Rs. 636,585 million in February, 2026 and Rs. 740,800 million during March, 2025 showing a decrease of 0.17% over February, 2026 and of 14.21% over March, 2025.
\nThe main commodities of exports during March, 2026 were knitwear (Rs. 92,406 million), readymade garments (Rs.84,136 million), bed wear (Rs. 67,003 million), rice others (Rs.43,110 million), cotton cloth (Rs. 40,205 million), towels (Rs. 25,284 million), madeup Articles (Excl. towels & bedwears) (Rs. 17,649), cotton yarn (Rs.17,164 million), fish & fish preparations (Rs.14,823 million) and basmati rice (Rs. 13,374 million).
\nOn the other hand, imports during July\u2013March (2025 \u2013 2026) totaled Rs. 14,254,482 million as against Rs. 13,200,440 million during the corresponding period of last year showing an increase of 7.98%.
\nDuring the month of March, imports into the country amounted to Rs. 1,430,328 million as against Rs. 1,481,293 million in February, 2026 and Rs. 1,478,379 million during March, 2025 showing a decrease of 3.44% over February, 2026 and of 3.25% over March, 2025.
\nThe main commodities of imports during March, 2026 were petroleum crude (Rs.181,025 million), petroleum products (Rs.116,140 million), palm oil (Rs. 80,375 million), electrical machinery & apparatus (Rs.66,231 million), plastic materials (Rs.52,215 million),motor cars (ckd\/skd) (Rs.47,549 million), iron & steel (Rs.44,776 million), mobile phones (Rs.41,699 million), iron & steel scrap (Rs.34,141 million) and power generating machinery (Rs.24,860 million).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
