PESHAWAR
\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Tuesday met a delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to review preparations for his upcoming visit on April 25 and discuss the party\u2019s ongoing public outreach campaign.
\nDuring the meeting, the chief minister said the visit was part of a broader street movement being advanced in line with the directions of former prime minister Imran Khan, adding that efforts would be intensified to further strengthen its momentum.
\nHe reiterated the party\u2019s commitment to continue political and legal efforts for the release of Mr Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi, describing their incarceration as unlawful.
\nThe chief minister said the struggle for constitutional supremacy, as well as the independence of the judiciary and media, would continue with full force.
\nHighlighting governance priorities, Mr Afridi said the provincial government was focusing on human capital development in line with Mr Khan\u2019s vision, with particular emphasis on improving health and education sectors through sustained interventions.
\nHe also outlined efforts to upgrade communications infrastructure across the province and initiatives aimed at reviving and modernising rail services. Additionally, he said governance reforms were being accelerated to improve institutional performance and service delivery.
\nMembers of the delegation termed the promotion of young leadership by Mr Khan a positive step, adding that the people of AJK were enthusiastic and would give the chief minister a warm and historic welcome during his visit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
