Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani paid rich tribute to the Poet of the East and Thinker of Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, on the occasion of his 88th death anniversary.

\nThe Chairman of the Senate stated that the teachings of Allama Muhammad Iqbal continue to serve as a profound source of guidance even today.
\nHe emphasised that Iqbal inspired the youth with the values of self-respect and relentless struggle\u2014principles that form the foundation of any successful nation.
\nHe noted that by embracing Iqbal\u2019s philosophy, individuals can bring about positive change within themselves and contribute meaningfully to national development.
\nSyed Yousuf Raza Gilani further remarked that Allama Iqbal\u2019s vision of Pakistan was rooted in the ideals of a welfare-oriented and just society, where every individual enjoys equal rights, and the rule of law prevails.
\nHe underscored that in the present era, it has become imperative to understand and implement Iqbal\u2019s philosophy to lay the foundation for a strong and stable Pakistan.
\nHe added that Parliament, along with all state institutions, bears responsibility for discharging its duties in light of Iqbal\u2019s guiding principles. He stressed that national unity, cohesion, and progress demand renewed adherence to Iqbal\u2019s thoughts.
