\nThe All Pakistan Business Forum (APBF) has welcomed the recent signs of economic stabilisation in Pakistan, expressing optimism about the country\u2019s improving macroeconomic outlook.
\nIn a joint statement, APBF President Syed Maaz Mahmood and Chairman Ibrahim Qureshi praised the government\u2019s economic policies and highlighted the role of national leadership, particularly Field Marshal Asim Munir Asim Munir, in fostering regional stability.
\nThe APBF leadership noted that Pakistan\u2019s economy has shown resilience amid global uncertainty, including tensions in the Middle East. They emphasized that prudent fiscal and monetary measures taken by the government have contributed to lowering inflation, strengthening foreign exchange reserves, and improving investor confidence.
\n\u201cPakistan is witnessing a phase of gradual but sustainable economic recovery,\u201d said Syed Maaz Mahmood. \u201cThe government\u2019s disciplined approach, supported by key institutions, is restoring stability and creating a conducive environment for business and investment.\u201d
\nChairman Ibrahim Qureshi added that the armed forces, under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, have played a crucial indirect role in maintaining regional peace and stability. He stated that Pakistan\u2019s diplomatic and strategic posture has contributed to de-escalation efforts at a critical time when fears of a broader regional conflict were rising.
\nAccording to APBF President, such stabilising efforts have had wider economic implications. The forum pointed out that global oil prices witnessed a notable decline of over 11 percent in a single day, which, while driven by multiple international factors, was also influenced by easing geopolitical tensions.
\nSyed Maaz Mahmood believes that Pakistan\u2019s constructive role in promoting peace contributed indirectly to this positive shift.
\n\u201cThe reduction in oil prices is a major relief for Pakistan\u2019s import bill and inflation outlook,\u201d said Qureshi. \u201cLower energy costs translate into reduced production expenses, improved industrial output, and ultimately, relief for the common citizen.\u201d
\nHe also highlighted improvements in key economic indicators, including GDP growth, a stable current account, and increasing remittances. They commended the government\u2019s efforts to maintain a balance between growth and stability, while continuing engagement with international financial institutions.
\nSyed Maaz Mahmood further noted that initiatives aimed at attracting foreign investment and strengthening financial systems are beginning to show results. \u201cConfidence among the business community is gradually returning. If this trajectory continues, Pakistan is well-positioned to achieve long-term economic sustainability,\u201d he said.
\nThe forum reiterated its support for the government\u2019s reform agenda and called for continued collaboration between public and private sectors. It stressed that maintaining stability, promoting exports, and ensuring policy continuity will be essential in the coming months.
