\nThe Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China in Pakistan has awarded a scholarship grant worth Rs. 4 million to students at Karakoram International University (KIU) under the Ambassador\u2019s Merit-cum-Need Scholarship Program, according to a statement.
\nThe university\u2019s Directorate of Public Relations said the funding will support talented and deserving students in continuing their higher education. The scholarships will be distributed among students at the main campus as well as all sub-campuses, according to a Gwadar Pro\u2019s report.
\nProf. Dr. Attaullah Shah, Vice Chancellor of KIU, conveyed his sincere appreciation to the Chinese Ambassador and the embassy delegation, describing their support as a meaningful contribution toward strengthening opportunities for young people in Gilgit-Baltistan. \u201cThis scholarship initiative will play an important role in nurturing competent and well-educated graduates who can make valuable contributions to society,\u201d he stated.
\n\u201cIt is a commendable effort that brings significant benefits to the students, the university and the entire region.\u201d The university\u2019s Financial Aid Office has announced applications are open for both undergraduate and graduate students.
