\nFederal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, conducted visits to four different projects over a continuous period of four hours. He inspected the Model Jail, Capital Police College, and Police Facilitation Center, and also laid the foundation stone for the expansion project of Atat\u00fcrk Avenue.
\nThe Interior Minister reviewed the progress of the under-construction Islamabad Model Jail project. Work on the barracks, admin block, and boundary wall is nearly complete. On the Minister\u2019s directive, it has been decided to designate the first phase of the Model Jail as a high-security prison. He also directed that the training of personnel to be deployed at the Model Jail be completed by April 30.
\nUpon his arrival at the Capital Police College, the Minister was presented a guard of honor by a smartly turned-out police contingent. He handed over two Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) vehicles to Islamabad Police. The Minister sought a plan for the upgradation of the Capital Police College and assigned a target to increase the training capacity from 450 to 4,000.
\nHe directed that training courses be aligned with modern requirements, with special focus on AI, IT, and physical training. The Interior Minister visited classes of DSP and Inspector promotional training courses and interacted with trainee officers, inquiring about their training and promotion processes.
\nMohsin Naqvi also visited the Police Facilitation Center in F-6, where he reviewed the facilities being provided. He visited various counters and observed the service delivery process. He met with citizens and inquired about their issues. Citizens expressed satisfaction over the facilities provided at the center. He directed further improvement in the service delivery system, stating that transparent and efficient services at police facilitation centers are the top priority.
\nInterior Minister emphasized that the government will continue making all-out efforts at every level to improve public services.
