\nISLAMABAD
\nPrime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said all the concerned departments should remain ready for emergency measures till the improvement in situation.
\nHe directed petroleum minister should become more active for improvement in supply chain of petroleum imports.
\nHe said this while presiding over a review meeting in Islamabad Tuesday regarding implementation of fuel-saving and austerity measures in light of regional situation.
\nThe meeting was informed about the progress on implementation of austerity and fuel-saving measures.
\nIt was told in the briefing the implementation of the directives issued by PM is being ensured. Intelligence Bureau will file monitoring report on implementation of all measures.
\nThere is adequate stock of petroleum products in the country as per its requirements.
\nIt was told in the briefing that all the situation is being monitored. The record of petroleum products is being kept so that any irregularity could be pointed out immediately.
\nAll the ministers have not received salaries voluntarily. Cut in fuel usage in government departments is yielding positive results.
\nThe steps for saving will help provide relief to people in the prevailing situation.
\nProper stock of medicines is available in the country to cater to the needs of people.
\nThe arrangements for special connectivity have been made by ministry of information, technology and telecom for providing facility of e-office in connection with work from home.
