DUBAI: The Kremlin said on Wednesday that it will not disclose the specific proposals by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the current Middle East war, which came during a phone call with US President Donald Trump earlier this week. <\/p>\n
During a presser, Kremlin spokesman \u2060Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia will not disclose the \u201cspecifics\u201d of the Russian president\u2019s proposals to Trump, according to Reuters News Agency. <\/p>\n
Trump said earlier that he had a \u201cpositive phone call\u201d with Putin on the Ukraine and Iran wars.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe wants to be helpful\u201d on the Middle East, Trump said of Putin.<\/p>\n
Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov told reporters later that day that Putin had a roughly one-hour telephone conversation with Trump at the request of the US side. <\/p>\n
Separately, Russia said Wednesday that it is constantly in touch with the Iranian leadership and willing to contribute to efforts to stabilize the region. <\/p>\n
\u201cHere \u200cI can \u200conly \u2060say that we are \u2060in constant contact with the Iranian side and with the Iranian leadership,\u201d \u200bPeskov told reporters. <\/p>\n
\u201cAs \u200cPresident (Vladimir) \u200cPutin has said, \u200cRussia is always ready \u200cto do what it can to restore peace and stability \u200cin the region.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Kremlin also said Putin has discussed the conflict in the Middle East with his United Arab Emirates \u200ccounterpart, Sheikh Mohammed \u200cbin Zayed \u200cAl \u2060Nahyan.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe leaders continued to exchange views \u2060on the dangerously deteriorating \u200csituation \u200cin the \u200cMiddle East, \u200cwhich is having serious consequences for Iran and \u200cArab countries,\u201d the Kremlin said.<\/p>\n
