The raid was conducted as part of ongoing efforts to curb the circulation of counterfeit and unregistered pharmaceuticals in the region.<br \/>\nDuring the operation, the accused, Muhammad Waseem s\/o Abdul Hakeem, was apprehended. A substantial quantity of Indian-origin medicines, suspected to be smuggled and unregistered, was recovered from his possession.<br \/>\nThe seized medicines are suspected to be spurious and smuggled, posing a serious risk to public health. The estimated market value of the recovered items is approximately PKR 2.5 million.<br \/>\nThe operation and subsequent briefing were conducted by Fazal Rehman Kakar, Deputy Director, Anti-Corruption Circle Quetta, who stated that further investigation has been initiated to identify other individuals involved in this illegal network.
