The \u201cUmmed-e-Nau Bahar\u201d mega art and literature event was successfully inaugurated on Tuesday at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), bringing together prominent artists, writers, scholars, and students to celebrate creativity, hope, and human values.
\nThe large-scale cultural event was organized by renowned visual artist, writer, and motivational speaker Qamar Siddiqui.
\nThe exhibition features four major segments, including a striking 100-feet painting and literature installation, presenting collaborative works by artists, writers, scholars, and students from various institutions, notably Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, and Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar.
\nThe central theme of the exhibition revolves around honesty, sincerity, purity, peace, unity, and true success, reflecting art as a powerful medium for social harmony.
\nThe event was inaugurated by the Secretary, Ministry of National Heritage and Culture Division, Asad Rehman Gilani, along with Director General PNCA, M. Ayoub Jamali and Chairperson, Pakistan Academy of Letters, Dr. Najeeba Arif.
\nAddressing the gathering, the chief guest appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of cultural activities in promoting positive values and Pakistan\u2019s soft image.
\nThe programme also included a group art exhibition featuring works by Nusrat Ji, Murad Khan, Makhtoom Fatima, Numaira, Shazia Jaffrey, Tayyaba Aziz, Ayesha Qamar, Saima Aamir, Zakir Ali, Sidra Ashraf, Nadia Raza, and Mazhar Qureshi, along with a family art show by Momina Qamar, Hina Qamar, M. Abdullah, and Qamar Siddiqui.
\nAn AKL Awards ceremony was also held to honour artists, scholars, writers, and social figures for their sincere services to humanity.
\nMr. Gilani distributed the awards and announced plans to publish a coffee-table book on the exhibition and to take the show to international forums to project Pakistan\u2019s message of unity, peace, and honesty.
